Change a quote to a booking

Once a customer has approved a quote, you can convert it into a booking to schedule the work. This guide shows you how to change a quote to a booking in Workshop Software.

Step 1: Open the Quote

  1. Open the quote you want to convert to a booking.
  2. If you need to create a quote first, see How to Create a Quote.

Step 2: Create the Booking

  1. Click the Action (star) icon on the quote.
  2. Select Create Booking from the dropdown menu.

Good to Know

  • The booking will carry over all the line items from the quote.
  • Once the booking is created, it will appear in your Booking Diary so you can schedule the work.
  • The original quote will remain in the system for reference.

Will the quote be deleted after creating a booking?

No, the original quote remains in the system. The booking is created as a separate record linked to the quote.

Can I change a booking back to a quote?

You can change the invoice type on the record if needed. See your invoice type options in the invoice header.
