How to hide unit cost column on the invoice screen

Workshop Software lets you hide the unit cost column on the invoice screen so that front-of-house staff cannot see your cost prices. This guide shows you how to toggle this setting.

Step 1: Hide the Cost Field

1. Open an invoice.
2. Click the green Actions star icon in the Customer Invoice bar.
3. Select Hide Cost Field from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Verify the Column Is Hidden

1. The screen will refresh and the Unit Cost column will no longer be visible.
2. If you save the invoice with the cost hidden, it will remain hidden when you reopen it.

Step 3: Show the Cost Field Again (Optional)

1. To restore the unit cost column, click the Star icon again.
2. Select Show Cost Field — the column will reappear on screen.

• Hiding the cost field only affects the on-screen display. The unit cost is always hidden from the customer on printed and emailed invoices regardless of this setting.
