Add templated wording to an invoice

Workshop Software allows you to create templated wording that can be added into invoice notes, job card notes, and description fields. This article explains how to add a previously created template to an invoice.

Please refer to the Create templates for invoice notes guide for step-by-step instructions on setting up templates.

Step 1: Open the Template Selector

  1. On an open invoice or job card, scroll down to the invoice notes section.
  2. Click the Add Template button located on the bottom right-hand corner of the invoice notes field.

Step 2: Select a Template

  1. Select the template you want to add from the list.
  2. Highlight the template and click the green Select button.

Step 3: Review and Edit

  1. Once the template has been added into the invoice notes, you can further edit or add to the text as needed.

Good to Know

  • You can print, email, or SMS the invoice to your customer once it is ready.
  • Double-check the details on your invoice before finalising to ensure accuracy for your customer and your records.
  • Templates can be added to invoice notes, job card notes, and description fields.
