Workshop Software lets you add notes to both invoices and job cards. You can also use pre-created templates to insert standard wording quickly.
Step 1: Locate the Notes Fields
- Open an invoice and scroll down past the product/labour line items.
- You will see two fields: Invoice Notes and Job Card Notes.

Step 2: Add Invoice Notes
- Type your notes in the Invoice Notes field.
- These notes will appear on the customer’s printed invoice.
- You can format the text with headings, bold, underline, or numbered lists.
Important: Format your text directly in this field. If you copy and paste from another application, the formatting may not carry over correctly.

Step 3: Add Job Card Notes
- Type notes in the Job Card Notes field.
- These notes will only appear on the job card — they will not print on the customer’s invoice.
- Use this for internal instructions for your mechanics.

Good to Know
- Invoice Notes are customer-facing — they print on the invoice sent to the customer.
- Job Card Notes are internal only — they appear on the mechanic’s job card but not on the customer invoice.
- You can set up note templates for frequently used wording, saving time on repetitive entries.
- Always format text directly in the notes field rather than pasting from Word or other applications.
