Managing customer records accurately is important for invoicing, communication, and reporting. This guide shows you how to search for a customer in Workshop Software so your customer information stays up to date.
There are a couple of different ways that you can search for a customer in Workshop Software. Using the main search bar Type the name or phone number of the customer in the search bar at the top of Workshop Software. When the customer comes up you can click on it to open the Customer Details page to view the customer history or use the coloured quick start keys to create a booking, create an invoice, send an SMS or open the most recent invoice for the customer: Please note: the search results will bring back the first 5 results, so if you are searching for a common name you may need to enter in the full name for the correct one to appear.
Search from the Customer Details Screen
Click on ‘Customers’ from the left hand navigation menu options, located on the left hand side of the screen. This will bring up a list of all of your customers, type the name of the customer you are searching for in the ‘filter field’ which is located to the far right of the blue ‘Customer’ bar. Once the customer comes up you can click to view the customer details screen and see customer history, add a vehicle, create a booking, create an invoice or send the customer an SMS.
