Your product list in Workshop Software controls what appears when you add items to invoices and job cards. This guide explains how to make a product gst (tax) free, helping you keep your product catalogue organised and up to date.
Workshop Software allows you to select individual parts to be charged GST (tax) Free. 1. Select the product to be charged GST (tax) Free by typing the Item Code, Description or Searchable Tag of the part into the top search bar in Workshop Software and clicking on the product;
2. Click on the ‘NO’ below GST Free to change it to a ‘YES’, this will mean the Retail Price entered for the product will be Ex. GST (tax) and no GST (tax) will be added to that price when the product is entered on to an invoice. Click on the green ‘Save’ button to save the change;
Good to Know
- Make sure you click Save after making your changes. If you navigate away before saving, your changes will be lost.
- Use the product search bar to quickly locate the product you need by name or part number.
- This setting can be toggled on or off at any time. The change takes effect immediately once you click Save.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this change affect existing invoices that already include this product?
No. Existing invoices and job cards retain the product details as they were at the time the invoice was created. This change only applies when the product is used on future invoices.
