This guide walks you through how to clock in and out on the mobile app in Workshop Software. Follow the steps below to complete this task.
1. Make sure you have created a Mobile User by following this guide here: https://staging.workshopsoftware.com/knowledge-base/mobile-phone-app/how-to-add-a-mobile-user 2. You also need to make sure this Mobile User has selected a mechanic and ‘Show Mechanic Features‘ is set to ‘Yes’.
3. Log into the mobile app. If you need to download it there is a link in this guide:

4. Click on the Job Centre and type your Job Card Number in the search bar.
5. Use your finger to swipe right on the specified job.
6. Select the green ‘Start Job‘ button.
7. You will know you have clocked on when your job is grey like this:
8. You clock off the same way by swiping right on the job:
9. Select the red ‘End Job‘ button.
10. This ‘Mechanic Time‘ will now appear in the History tab.
Good to Know
- This setting can be toggled on or off at any time. The change takes effect immediately once you click Save.
- This feature is also available on the Workshop Software mobile app if you have mobile access enabled on your account.
