To create a booking in Workshop Software, follow these simple steps:
1) Click the ‘+’ button at the top of the page, and then select Customer Booking’. This will open a new booking screen.

2) To select a customer, you can either search for an existing customer by typing their name or details, or if it is a new customer, you can add a new customer by clicking on the ‘+’ button to enter their details.

3) To add a vehicle, you can select an existing vehicle from the list if the customer has previously had a vehicle linked to their information. Alternatively, by clicking the ‘+’ button, you can add a new vehicle to the customer’s details.

4) Fill in the Booking Details:
Reference – This greyed-out field will have a number assigned to it once the booking is saved.
Customer Order Number
– This is optional.
Booking Date
– Choose the date for the booking if the case.
Due by
– This is also optional.
Description – Enter a short description of the work that needs to be done.
Member Number
– If the customer has a Member Number associated with their profile, it will be displayed in this field.
Product – On this section,
you must add a labour line for the booking to appear in the booking calendar.
You can use any product as long as its type is set to
Labour.

5) Optional Actions (available after saving the booking)
Assign a Mechanic/Event Times
– By clicking the cog icon on the product line, you can assign a mechanic and edit the event times for a labour line. For more details, refer to the articles:

For Gold Subscribers, under the Action Button on the right-hand side of the Customer Booking green bar, you can click the star button to
Create an Inspection
and/or
Create Loan Car
At the bottom of the Customer Booking page, you can enter notes for the booking.
Event Notes
will be converted into Invoice Notes, and
Job Card Notes
are internal notes for the mechanic and will appear on the job card.
6) Save the Booking:
Once you have entered all the details, click the ‘Save’ button to save the booking.
