Workshop Software lets you print job cards for your mechanics and email or print invoices for your customers. This guide covers both workflows.
Printing a Job Card
Step 1: Save the Invoice
- Enter all the information the mechanic needs on the invoice.
- Click the green Save button.
Step 2: Print the Job Card
- Click the blue icon next to Balance Due on the far right of the green Customer Invoice bar.
- Select Print Job Card from the options.

- The job card will open in a new browser tab and can be printed for the mechanic.
Emailing or Printing an Invoice
Once the work is complete and the invoice is finalised, you can email it to the customer or print it.
Step 1: Open Print/Email Options
- Click the blue icon next to Balance Due on the Customer Invoice bar.
- Select Email Invoice to send it by email, or Print Invoice to print a physical copy.

Printing a Stock Order
- Open the stock order you want to print.
- Use the print option available on the stock order screen.

Good to Know
- Until an invoice is processed, it can be used as a job card for the mechanic.
- You can email invoices directly from Workshop Software — no need to save as PDF first.
- Job cards and invoices can be printed at any stage, but it is best practice to save before printing.

You would need to do these as separate actions — email the invoice first, then use the print option.
